On a round trip between Dallas and Washington DC I recall the Virginia being the most tiresome part of the trip due to VA's insanely punitive speed enforcement laws on the interstate. The constant worry about going above 80 mph was causing fatigue and in the long run several nodding off situations as the state continues for hundreds and hundreds of miles and no alternative but driving until it ends. Once cleared of VA the nodding at wheel became a non-issue. I think an entire state with its absurd punishments of drivers can contribute to both accidents as well road rage in one form or the other. If I had a chance of going around VA then I would. But I can't. Anyone going through parts of Virginia on regular basis? What are your experience with Virginia compared to your home state.

Every year I drive from the south all the way up to the north and I always pass through Virginia. From what I have seen everything is about the same from where I'm from, its just that they have a lot of unnecessary roads there which take a lot more time to get through.
